Check-Off Town Hall Webinar Recap
The Canadian Beef Check-Off Agency hosted two Check-Off Town Hall webinars on February 27, open to all beef producers across Canada. The webinars featured presentations from the Agency, the Beef Cattle Research Council, Canada Beef and Issues Management, which focused on how each invests check-off dollars, and what producers can expect to see as returns for those investments.
There were just over 100 registrants for the two events, and the survey results following were quite positive, with 95% of respondents noting they would join another check-off webinar. We are also pleased to report that we had registrants from every province across the country, with 60% of the registrants being primary producers, and 90% of survey respondents leaving the webinar feeling that there is value for producers in their check-off dollars.
We hope to have even more participants for future online events; the ability to engage producers simultaneously across the country at no cost to producers is a great way to include those who wouldn’t be able to, or aren’t interested in traveling the distance to in-person meetings.
Feel free to watch and share these links whether you were a part of the live broadcast or if you weren’t able to join. It is important that Canadian producers understand where their check-off dollars are being invested, especially when the vast majority of the country has, or is facing an increase.
