AGM Save the Date: August 15, 2017

Summer is here, and here at the Canadian Beef Check-Off Agency, we’re gearing up for our AGM on August 15th in Calgary, AB.

We’re making some changes to the format based on feedback from our delegates last year, to ensure that producers are are receiving information on the value of the Canadian Beef Cattle Check-Off in a way that is meaningful and engaging.  This year, attendees can expect more extensive reporting, additional time for resolution debate, and a larger venue.

This year our AGM will be a full day of reporting and presentations from the Agency and those who invest check-off dollars into research, market development and promotion activities, as well as the “business” portion of the meeting, including Director elections and resolutions.

Did you know that each province is eligible to send a number of delegates to attend and vote at our AGM, based on the percentage of the national check-off that province remits?

These delegates, along with delegates representing industry and the Agency’s Board of Directors, form the delegate body to vote on elections, resolutions and other official business at the meeting.

Our AGM is free to attend, but we do need you to pre-register on the CBIC registration site.

Registration Instructions:

  1. Visit www.canadianbeefindustryconference.com
  2. Select ‘Register Now’, then click ‘Online Registration’
  3. Fill out your information
  4. Select “Canadian Beef Check-Off Agency AGM” when selecting your optional sessions.

NOTE: You don’t need to be a paid CBIC attendee to attend our AGM. Select “Meeting Registration Only” if you won’t be attending the paid sessions, and only wish to join the free sessions, like our AGM.

We look forward to seeing our old friends and new faces in August at the BMO Centre, Stampede Park.
